Dream a little dream of me...

Jesse Reklaw draws other peoples' dreams for his weekly comic strip, SLOW WAVE. These pages are from his 2000 compilation, DREAMTOONS. You can read his latest dreamtoons at www.slowwave.com

This really happened to me the other day. I dreamed I looked at Slow Wave and found Reklaw had drawn up a dream by me. It was very funny and I laughed. In the dream I knew I was dreaming. I thought, "I have to wake up and write down what the comic strip is about so I can actually send it to Reklaw." I woke up but was too sleepy to write it down. I told myself, "I'll remember it in the morning." But by morning I had forgotten everything about the dream comic strip. There's a moral: When something like this happens get out of bed and write it down, no matter how tired you are. You'll thank me in the morning.

Marvelous A. Merritt

Many of the books by fantasist A. Merritt have stayed in print for the better part of a century. He was a very successful author during his lifetime (1884-1943), and apparently beyond. This article by Sam Moskowitz was originally published in SATELLITE SCIENCE FICTION for April, 1959.

The illustrations are images taken from the Internet.
