...like Tom Thumb's blues...

This attractive 12-page booklet, TOM THUMB, is illustrated by Eulalie Banks, who signed her name Eulalie. From the look of it I'm sure it's part of a larger set of pamphlets, published by Platt & Munk in 1934.

Born in England, Eulalie did most of her work in California. She was born in 1895 and died in 1999 at age 104.

  1. This and several other similar fairy tale pamphlets by Eulalie Banks were collected in a hard bound book. My father/aunts had a copy that got passed down to me. Gorgeous stuff.

  2. Platt & Munk was good at recycling older material and keeping it in print.

Wow! That is some beautiful artwork. Now I will searching around for more work by Eulalie. I like the story much better than the modern, watered down versions.

Thank you for posting it :)
