The Martian — UK comics adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' A PRINCESS OF MARS
This is a British comic strip adaptation of the famous book, A PRINCESS OF MARS by Edgar Rice Burroughs, published as "The Martian" in 1958 and 1959 issues of SUN. I found this online. Artist and scripter unknown.
Thanks for the information. I'm confused as to where it appeared. Was SUN a comic paper or newspaper? When I looked up information on The Sun (newspaper) it dates from 1964, some years after the 1958 attribution of this adaptation. Or was the 1958 date wrong?
One of the most faithful adaptations I've seen. Keep them coming! Good old British comics!
ReplyDeleteMykal, you will notice the scripter throws in some "Britishisms" in his paraphrasing of ERB's words.
ReplyDeleteWow! Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAdapted by D.R. Morton and drawn by Robert Forest.
