ALLEY OOP by V. T. Hamlin is one of my favorite comic strips. I especially like the time travel adventures. This particular adventure from February 10 to May 13, 1964, has Oop and Ooola and the gods of Mount Olympus.
Hamlin's art is, as it was during his long tenure on this strip, top-notch, as is the story.
My thanks to the anonymous good person who scanned these strips and put them on the Internet. At some point I will also show you a later adventure in Egypt with Cleopatra, also from 1964.

Hey, Thanks for posting this! Alley Oop is one of my favorites. He and Li'l Abner.
ReplyDeleteBoth Abner and Oop were well-drawn, for sure.
ReplyDeleteAh, for the days when comic strips were actually illustrated! I'm almost embarrassed to read most of what passes for comic strips nowadays.
