Step-By-Step with Bob Byrd

Remember when artists used to use pencils, brushes, paints and even...(gasp!)...paper?

STEP-BY-STEP GRAPHICS magazine for November-December, 1992, shows how Robert Byrd did the illustrations for his book, THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES using tried-and-true tools and techniques.

  1. HGE: No wonder everything looked better back then. If I see one more photoshopped piece of art I'm going to barf on my shoes. -- Mykal

  2. Photoshop can be a wonderful tool for the artist, but I really appreciate artists who do it the old-fashioned non-digital way.
