A new year, and A New Leash On Life
I showed the scans of this excellent book a couple of years go in the original Hairy Green Eyeball blog. Carl Rose's pen and brush drawings perfectly complement Richard Grossman's 1950 fantasy of a returning war veteran, the service dog, Herman Boxer. It's got caricatures of celebrities and politicians of the day, and it's got the Cold War.
