Collector's Showcase 1975

People like me, who love original comic art, will cry when they see the prices in this 1975 COLLECTOR'S SHOWCASE, a catalogue from Collector's Bookstore in Hollywood California.

Hal Foster Prince Valiant pages: $400.

Carl Barks painting based on "Voodoo Hoodoo": $3000.

A Charles Schulz "Peanuts" Sunday from 1952 for...choke!...$125. A daily "Peanuts," same vintage, for $65.

Kirby: $40. Ditko: $40. A major Joe Kubert "Brave and the Bold" page, with Hawkman and Hawkgirl in a half-page panel fighting a pterodactyl, $85.

Like I said, you'll cry.

Because this catalogue is from 1975, these offers are obviously no good now, but as historical interest, plus a look at some great artwork, this is a nice catalogue to own. I am not showing the whole catalogue, only excerpts.

Painting above on back cover is by Kenneth Smith, priced at $400.
