John Buscema's 7th Voyage of Sinbad

In answer to some requests, here is the Dell movie adaptation of THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD, drawn in 1958 by John Buscema.

I'm a little disappointed: no swordfight with a skeleton, but there's a teaser of that sequence on the inside back cover. We saw similar fantastic artwork from Buscema for many years on CONAN for Marvel Comics.

  1. HGE: What a stunning beauty of a comic. No swordfighting bones but the pages with the cyclops more than makes up for it. That page with the cyclops hand reaching into the panels is supremo. The comic seems to kick into overdrive from that page forward. I've always thought Buscema was Marvel's finest. Plus, you gotta love a comic that has a map ALA Robert Howard. Gives the whole thing a nice depth. Great post. -- Mykal

  2. I was tossed to the isle of 1000 dangers and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.

  3. Sorry to see you're now getting the Chinese spam. I had to chase 'em down by the second as they put dozens of these naughty links on my various blogs. Now I had to go to all moderated all the time. They STILL try but now I can reject 'em! Jeez!

  4. Thanks for the tip, Steve. I'll consider moderating the comments, but sometimes I don't get to them for a couple of days; I don't want to discourage any readers from giving me their opinion.
